ROSENTH RUTH, Sept. 21, 2007 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Rosuvastatin (Lipitor) is a leading manufacturer, supplier and exporter of Rosuvastatin® (Lipitor) tablets for oral administration. This is a world-first pharmaceutical product for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia, an established need and proven efficacy, that has a high success rate for patients worldwide. This product is a combination of two lipid lowering agents: (1) Lipitor (Lipitor) and (2) Crestor (Crestor). This product is the first drug to be approved for use in the treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia. Lipitor is a potent inhibitor of the liver, which results in a reduction in total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol. In addition, Lipitor helps to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, especially in patients with risk factors for heart disease. It is a lipid lowering drug that has been used in a number of clinical trials with a high success rate. For treatment of hypercholesterolaemia, it is most commonly prescribed to adults (who have high LDL cholesterol and triglycerides).
Rosuvastatin is the only approved product in the class of statins. It is approved for use in the treatment of adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia.
This product is also approved for use in adults with primary hypercholesterolaemia as an adjunct to diet and exercise and has a high success rate. The product is manufactured by Rosuvastatin Corporation (Lipitor).
Rosuvastatin is a lipid lowering drug that was developed by the GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Company (GSK) and has been approved for use in the treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia.
It has been demonstrated in clinical trials that Crestor (Crestor) reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke.
This product is the only approved product for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia in adults. It is also indicated for use in the treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia in patients who are not receiving treatment with any statin.
Rosuvastatin is a prescription drug. Rosuvastatin is a statin that is also available as a tablet. Rosuvastatin is also used to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients with primary hypercholesterolaemia.
The primary benefits of rosuvastatin in the treatment of hypercholesterolaemia are:
• The use of rosuvastatin is beneficial to patients with high cholesterol levels. In addition, the use of rosuvastatin is associated with a reduction in the incidence of cardiovascular events and an increased risk of hospitalization for cardiovascular events.
• Rosuvastatin can be taken with or without food, as it can be taken as a meal or as a pill. It can be taken at any time of day, but taking it with food will make it less likely to become upset.
• Rosuvastatin has no known serious drug-related side effects. It is important to have a complete understanding of the potential risks and side effects of rosuvastatin. It should be used only when prescribed by a qualified healthcare professional.
• Rosuvastatin is not approved for use in the treatment of coronary heart disease. It is a drug that is used to treat high blood pressure. It can also be used to treat the treatment of high cholesterol.
• Rosuvastatin is available in the form of tablets. There are several formulations available for the oral administration of rosuvastatin: oral tablets, intramuscular (IM) tablets, and injection.
The use of rosuvastatin is not contraindicated for children under the age of 10. Rosuvastatin is contraindicated in patients with liver disease, or in patients with an active tumor in the liver. In addition, rosuvastatin should not be used during pregnancy or during breastfeeding unless it is expected to be beneficial to the mother and fetus. It is not known if rosuvastatin is excreted in breast milk in the pregnant woman.
The drug has been approved for use in the treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia in adults and as an adjunct to diet and exercise and has a high success rate in the treatment of hypercholesterolaemia in patients who are not receiving treatment with any statin.
Rosuvastatin is also approved for use in the treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease.
The drug is not indicated for use in the treatment of hypercholesterolaemia in women.
